Oppo Watch Free is set to become the latest wearable to launch in India. According to a report by 91mobiles, the Oppo Watch Free is set to be launched alongside the Reno 7 series smartphones as well as a new pair of true wireless earphones in India. The Watch Free has already been unveiled in China, while the true wireless earbuds are likely to be the Enco Free 2i TWS.
Oppo Watch Free: expected pricing
While a more formal announcement of details will likely happen some time in early 2022, the Oppo Watch Free costs CNY 599 in China. This translates to roughly Rs 7,000, and reports suggest that it may be priced similarly in the country. A ballpark price range of Rs 5,000 may be targeted in the country, which is a popular range for a number of fitness trackers and value centric smartwatches in India.
In terms of its overall features, the Oppo Watch Free appears to feature an elongated watch body design – instead of square or circular like standard smartwatches. It resembles the latest generation Honor Band in its overall product design.
The Watch Free features a 1.64-inch AMOLED display with 2.5D curved glass on top. In terms of health features, the wearable offers heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen monitoring and sleep monitoring as well. Reports further claim that it comes with a six-axis motion sensor, as well as an ambient light sensor. However, it does not specify if it would feature an always-on display, too.
The Watch Free also comes with 100 sport tracking modes, along with six that it can auto track – running, walking, swimming, outdoor cycling, elliptical machines and rowing machines. The wearable is water resistant up to 5ATM, and has a 230mAh battery that it claims will offer up to 14 days of battery life. It also states that five minutes of charge can give it a day’s worth of usage.
