POCO has launched yet another C-series smartphone – the POCO C55 in the Indian market. The latest C-series smartphone from POCO is nothing but a rebranded Redmi 12C for India. The POCO C55 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 processor and up to 6GB of RAM. The smartphone is equipped with a large HD+ resolution display and a 5000mAh battery.

The POCO C55 offers a 50MP primary rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera. The smartphone features a leather texture design similar to the POCO C50. Other highlights of the latest C-series smartphone include 10W charging support, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a dedicated micro-SD card slot. POCO C55: Price in India and Availability

The POCO C55 price in India is Rs 9,499 for the 4GB + 64GB configuration. The smartphone also retails in 6GB + 128GB variant which is priced at Rs 10,999 in the country. The POCO C55 will go on sale starting February 28 via Flipkart exclusively.

As an introductory offer, POCO is offering a Rs 500 instant discount on the base variant of the device in the first sale. Additionally, POCO C50 4GB + 64GB variant buyers can avail a flat Rs 500 additional discount with HDFC, SBI, and ICICI Bank transactions. Those buying the 6GB + 128GB variant of the device will get a Rs 1000 additional discount with HDFC, SBI, and ICICI Bank transactions.

POCO C55: Specifications and Features

The all-new POCO C55 flaunts a 60Hz LCD display panel with 500nits peak brightness, an HD+ (1650 × 720 pixel) resolution, 120Hz touch sampling rate, and Panda glass protection. The display panel measures 6.71 inches in size and features a waterdrop notch.

Powering the latest POCO C-series smartphone is an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 processor that brings with it an integrated Mali G52 GPU. It comes paired with up to 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB UFS 2.2 storage. The smartphone boots MIUI 13 out of the box, but it is based on Android 12.

Talking about the optics, the all-new POCO C55 comes equipped with a dual-rear camera setup that includes a 50MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture. It gets accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor. The smartphone relies on a 5MP front shooter that takes care of selfies and video calls.

The latest C-series smartphone is backed by a 5000mAH battery unit. It supports 10W charging over a micro-USB port similar to the POCO C50. On the security front, it offers a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. The handset also features a (dedicated) microSD card slot and a 3.5mm audio jack. It also features an IP52 rating that makes it splash-resistant.

The POCO C55 will be available for purchase in three colour options – Power Black, Forest Green, and Cool Blue. It weighs 192 grams and measures 168.76 × 76.41 × 8.77mm. Connectivity options of the device include Dual-SIM, 4G, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and Glonass.
