Redmi recently confirmed the launch timeline of the upcoming Redmi K70 series smartphones. A new smartphone from Poco received certification from India’s Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). A tipster previously confirmed that Poco would soon debut a smartphone in India with the Poco F6 moniker, which will be a rebranded Redmi K70 series smartphone.

The upcoming Poco smartphone has received Singapore’s IMDA certification, hinting at the global launch of the device. The certification also indicates that Poco won’t rebrand the vanilla Redmi K70 smartphone for the international markets. In related news, Xiaomi has confirmed some key specifications of the upcoming Redmi K70E smartphone.

Poco F6 to Launch Globally Soon

The upcoming Poco smartphone received Singapore’s IMDA certification with the model number 2311DRK48G. However, the IMDA website doesn’t reveal the moniker of the upcoming Poco smartphone. To recall, the Poco smartphone, which received certification from India’s BIS, also carried the 2311DRK48I model number. For those unaware, the G and I stand for Global and Indian variants, respectively.

The upcoming Poco F6 smartphone previously received IMEI certification with the model number 2311DRK48I. The upcoming Poco smartphone is tipped to debut in Q1 of 2024 in India. We at MySmartPrice recently spotted the upcoming Redmi K70 series smartphone on GeekBench with the model number 2311DRK48C. The GeekBench listing revealed that the device will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8300 SoC.

Redmi K70E Expected Specifications

Xiaomi has confirmed that the Redmi K70E will be equipped with the same chipset. The upcoming Poco F6 smartphone was earlier believed to be the vanilla Redmi K70 smartphone. The model number revealed through the GeekBench listing and Xiaomi’s confirmation regarding the chipset has made things easier for us to understand.

The company previously revealed that the Redmi K70E smartphone has scored 15,26,328 points in the AnTuTu V10 benchmarking platform. A video shared by a Chinese YouTuber shows that the smartphone scores 14,84,607 points in AnTuTu and, 1445 points in single-core and 4479 points in multi-core GeekBench tests.

The smartphone has also scored 12,856 frames and 18,053 frames in the GFX benchmark. Xiaomi has confirmed through a teaser that the Redmi K70E smartphone will be backed by a 5500mAh battery. The smartphone will bring support for 90W fast charging tech with a dedicated smart charging engine to extend the battery health over the years.

Xiaomi also reveals that the upcoming Redmi K70E has a thickness of 8.05mm despite packing a large battery. A tipster on Weibo suggests that Xiaomi will price the smartphone at RMB 1,999 (approx. Rs 23,800) for the base variant. Digital Chat Station reveals that Xiaomi will equip the device with triple rear cameras. The setup will comprise a 64MP primary camera, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and 2MP macro lens. The smartphone will feature a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

To recall, Xiaomi debuted the vanilla Redmi K60 smartphone under the Poco F5 Pro moniker in India. Xiaomi is likely to continue the tradition and will debut the vanilla Redmi K70 smartphone under the F6 Pro moniker in India.
