Poco has launched the Poco M4 Pro 5G today as the successor to the Poco M3 Pro 5G. The Poco M4 Pro 5G is the first device in the Poco M4 series and it comes with several improvements over its predecessor such as a better processor, fast charging, and a better camera setup. Let’s take a look at the price, specifications and features of the new Poco device.
Poco M4 Pro 5G Price and Availability
The Poco M4 Pro comes in two configurations 一 the base variant with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at €229 (around Rs 19,600) and 6GB+128GB costs €249 (around Rs 21,400). The device will be available for €199 and €219 respectively as a part of the early bird offer. The phone is available in three colour options 一 Power Black, Cool Blue (gradient back), and Poco Yellow. It will go on sale starting November 11 in Europe.
Poco M4 Pro 5G Specs and Features
The Poco M4 Pro 5G sports a 6.6-inch LCD display upfront with a 90Hz refresh rate. It also features DCI-P3 colour for a wider colour gamut and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The phone features a punch-hole cut-out on that front which houses the selfie camera. On the back, the phone flaunts a large camera island along with Poco branding. While it looks like the phone comes with a quad-camera setup, in reality, the phone sports a dual-camera system on the back.
Under the hood, the device is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC which is based on a 6nm process. It is an eight-core SoC with Arm Cortex-A76 and Arm Cortex-A55 CPU cores and a max frequency of 2.4GHz paired with Mali G57 GPU. The phone comes in three configurations 一 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB. The phone uses USF 2.2 storage and supports microSD card up to 1TB. The phone also supports up to 8GB of Virtual RAM. On the inside, the Poco M4 Pro is backed by a 5,000 mAh battery with supports 33W Pro fast charging 一 the phone charge be fully charged in 59 minutes.
In terms of camera, the Poco M4 Pro 5G houses a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with 119-degree FoV. There is a 16MP selfie camera on the front. The phone is also IP53 dust and water-rated. The phone runs on MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 out of the box. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 3.5mm headphone jack, X-axis linear motor, IR blaster, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and dual-speaker setup.
Poco F3 Moonlight Silver
Along with the launch of the Poco M4 Pro 5G, the company also unveiled a new colour variant of the flagship Poco F3. The Poco F3 will now be available in a new “Moonlight Silver” colour option.
