Redmi India, a couple of days back, introduced the Redmi 13C and Redmi 13C 5G in the Indian market. The Redmi 13C 5G is the brand’s cheapest 5G-enabled smartphone in the country, and will go on sale starting December 16 in India.

Now, reliable Xiaomi tipster – Kacper Skrzypek claims that the Redmi 13C 5G will also launch under the POCO brand with a different moniker. Kacper took it to X (formerly Twitter) to share a screenshot that reveals the smartphone may launch as the POCO M6 5G. Let us take a look at the details.

Kacper shared a screenshot on X, which appears to be from MIUI code, and revealed that the POCO M6 5G has the codename air_p. The screenshot also suggests that the phone has the model number 23128PC33I (I represent the Indian variant).

To those unaware, POCO currently has one handset under its M6 series, which is the POCO M6 Pro 5G. The company launched only one handset under the M5 series – the POCO M5, which wasn’t 5G-enabled. This means that the POCO M6 5G will arrive as a successor to the POCO M4 5G which was launched back in April 2022.

Apart from the POCO M6 5G, the brand is also expected to launch the POCO M6 Pro (4G variant) under the POCO M6 series. The POCO M6 Pro has already acquired FCC certification and might arrive with a 64MP primary camera. The company is yet to confirm the existence of the POCO M6 5G and the POCO M6 Pro 4G.
