CES 2024: Razer Blade 16 to Launch As World’s First 16-Inch Laptop With 240Hz OLED Display

Razer is all set to launch its new Blade 16 and Blade 18 laptops at the upcoming CES 2024. Ahead of the event, the company has shared teasers of the display details of the upcoming laptops. According to the announcement, the Blade 16 will come with the world’s first OLED 240Hz 16-inch display, and the Blade 18 will feature the world’s first 18-inch 4K resolution 165Hz display. Let’s take a look at all the details revealed by Razer ahead of the official launch of the CES 2024.

Razer Blade 16 and Blade 18 to Flaunt Impressive Display Upgrades

Razer has only revealed the display specifications of the upcoming Razer Blade 16 and Blade 18. The OLED display on the Razer Blade 16 is developed by Razer in collaboration with Samsung Display. The company confirmed that the screen will offer a 2,560 x 1,600 resolution panel and a 240Hz refresh rate. The screen will also offer an impressive 0.2ms response time.

Moreover, in yet another first in the world, the display on the Razer Blade 16 makes it the world’s first VESA Certified Clear MR 11000 laptop. Additionally, the company has confirmed that the Razer Blade 16’s display will meet VESA Display HDR True Black 500 certification requirements and offer a 1 million to 1 contrast ratio.

Coming to the bigger Razer Blade 18, the 4K display on the laptop will support a 165Hz refresh rate for a smoother gameplay experience. The display will have a 3ms response time for reduced screen tearing during gaming and improved latency. Lastly, the Razer Blade 18’s display comes with support for 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut for accurate colour reproduction in the game. No other information has been revealed by the brand.

Razer also given a glimpse of the design elements of these laptops. The brand has revealed that the Blade 16 and Blade 17 will flaunt a CND aluminum unibody construction with up to 89% screen-to-body ratio.
