Realme is gearing up to launch its upcoming Realme 12 Series in global markets in its midrange lineup. The Realme 12 Pro 5G and the 12 Pro+ 5G have now cleared TDRA certification which confirms that both devices will feature 5G connectivity.
The Realme 12 Series was also recently spotted on the BIS certification portal, suggesting that Realme could soon launch these devices in India. Let’s have a look at all the details that we know so far.
The Realme 12 Pro 5G and the 12 Pro+ 5G have model numbers RMX3842 and RMX3840 respectively. However, the listing does not reveal any further details about the two phones.
As per previous reports from Digital Chat Station, the Realme 12 Pro and the 12 Pro+ could feature the newly launched Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, which is an octa-core chipset based on a 4nm architecture.
DCS has also tipped the camera specifications of the Pro models of the Realme 12 Series. The Realme 12 Pro could feature a 32MP telephoto lens powered by the Sony IMX709 sensor, with support for 2X optical zoom. The Realme 12 Pro+ on the other hand may get the 64MP periscope lens with 3X optical zoom, backed by the Omnivision OV64B sensor.
Leaked renders of the Realme 12 Pro suggest that the device will feature a circular camera setup, with a design similar to the OPPO Find X6 Series from last year.
Realme 12 Pro Series Expected Launch Date
The Realme 12 Pro Series is expected to debut in the first quarter of 2024. The company is currently teasing the launch of its flagship Realme GT 5 Pro in select global markets.
Realme has not confirmed the launch date of its Realme 12 Pro Series. To recall, the Realme 11 Pro Series was launched in India in June 2023, which was later followed by the vanilla Realme 11 a month later.
Considering that Xiaomi has scheduled the launch of its Redmi Note 13 Series in January 2024, Realme could unveil its 12 Pro Series sooner than usual. We can expect the pricing for the Realme 12 Pro Series to start at around Rs 25,000.
