Realme recently confirmed the debut of the Realme GT 5 Pro smartphone. The upcoming Realme smartphone will be the first Realme smartphone to feature a periscope lens. Popular Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station revealed that Realme is working on a number series smartphone which will sport a periscope lens. The tipster later confirmed that Realme will debut the Realme 12 Pro series smartphones with the periscope lens. DCS has shared a new post on Weibo, which reveals the specifications and pricing of the forthcoming Realme number series smartphones.

Realme 12 Pro and Realme 12 Pro+ Expected Specifications
Digital Chat Station confirms that Realme will equip the Realme 12 Pro series smartphone with the newly debuted Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. The chipset is built on a 4nm process and features one Cortex-A715 core at 2.63GHz, three Cortex-A715 cores at 2.4GHz, four Cortex-A510 cores at 1.8GHz and Adreno GPU. However, the chipset is less powerful than the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC.
The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC offered a performance similar to the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The tipster adds that Realme will equip the Realme 12 Pro smartphone with a 32MP Sony IMX 709 telephoto sensorwith 2x optical zoom. In contrast, the Realme 12 Pro+ smartphone is tipped to feature a 64MP OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
DCS adds that many smartphone brands will equip the OmniVision OV64B telephoto sensor in many upcoming mid-range smartphones. The tipster also shared a concept render of the forthcoming Realme number series smartphone. The concept render reveals a circular camera layout with two circular cameras, a rectangular periscope lens and an LED flash.
The circular camera layout on the concept render resembles the existing Realme 11 Pro series smartphones. The tipster also adds that Realme will launch the smartphone with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage at RMB 2,099 (approx. Rs 25,000). Digital Chat Station hasn’t shared any other specifications of the upcoming smartphones. There are rumours that Realme might debut the smartphone in the first quarter of 2024.
The Realme 11 Pro and Realme 11 Pro+ smartphones share identical specifications. The vanilla smartphones feature a slower 67W wired fast charging tech. Realme also downgrades the primary camera from 200MP to 100MP on the Realme 11 Pro smartphone. The company equips both smartphones with MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC and a 6.7-inch AMOLED display.
