Realme is reportedly working on expanding its number series portfolio in India. Yes, you read it right. The company has already launched as many as five smartphones under the Realme 9 series in India. These include the 9i, 9 5G, 9 SE 5G, 9 Pro and the 9 Pro+. There is one more smartphone joining the latest Realme number series. According to a new 91Mobiles report, Realme will launch a smartphone under its number series in India sometime in April 2022.

Realme 9 Series Smartphone with 108MP Camera Tipped
Realme 9 series will expand next month in India with the launch of a new smartphone that will come with a 108MP primary camera sensor. The device will be the first in the 9 series and second overall in Realme’s number series to come with a 108MP camera sensor. The Realme 8 Pro was the first device from the brand to launch with a 108MP main camera under the number series. Currently, the 9i has a 50MP camera, whereas the 9 SE 5G and the 9 5G have a 48MP sensor. The 9 Pro has a 64MP main camera, whereas the 9 Pro+ 5G has a 50MP Sony IMX766 camera with OIS support. The upcoming 9 series smartphone will be the only one from the series to come with a 108MP main camera.
The exact moniker of the upcoming Realme 9 series smartphone is unknown. This device could be named Realme 9 SuperZoom. The company had previously used the SuperZoom moniker in its X3 series to highlight the device’s camera features and capabilities.
In addition to the 108MP main camera, there will be two more sensors on the back. Details about these two sensors remain unknown at the moment.
The report does not list any other details or specifications of the upcoming Realme number series smartphone. Realme too has not confirmed any details around the launch of a new mid-range smartphone under the number series. We can expect an announcement at the Realme GT 2 series launch, which will be hosted on April 7.
