The Realme Book (Slim) laptop is almost here, and is slated to rival Xiaomi’s Mi Notebook offerings in a competitively priced budget laptop segment in India and other markets. Ahead of its upcoming launch, an apparent teaser poster of the laptop has been posted on Twitter. According to Twitter user @TechTipster_, the poster is of the Realme Book (Slim) in China, and has tipped most of its specifications as well as its price ahead of its potential launch this week.
According to the post on Twitter, the Realme Book (Slim) is tipped to be priced at CNY 4,699 (approx. Rs 54,000), which is in line with reports that suggest that the laptop may cost upward of Rs 55,000 in India. In terms of specifications, the leak claims that the Realme Book (Slim) will feature a 14-inch display with 2K WQHD screen resolution and 3:2 aspect ratio, an 11th gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor, 16GB DDR4 memory, a 512GB SSD for storage, and a battery that is seemingly certified to offer 11 hours of battery life.
The latter is also tipped to support 65W fast charging. Other tipped features include dual speakers with DTS certification and Harman-Kardon branding. The laptop is also expected to offer a 3.5mm audio port, two USB-C ports and one USB-A port. All specifications tipped in this poster are in line with what we have already known about the Realme Book (Slim) so far. The laptop is set to go official in China, India and potentially other global markets as well, on August 18.
The Realme Book (Slim) is set to rival new generation laptops from Xiaomi, under its updated Mi Notebook series. While Realme appears to be intent on offering a business ultrabook with premium aesthetics at competitive pricing, Xiaomi is set to up the ante with its new Mi Notebook range, offering discrete GPU, more powerful processors, and amusingly, the option for a backlit keyboard, finally. Going forward, it will be interesting to see how the two Chinese OEMs line up their offerings against each other.
