Realme recently launched the GT Neo 2 in China. The new GT smartphone from Realme is a premium offering that comes with the Snapdragon 870 SoC under the hood. Realme was previously rumoured to launch the GT Neo 2 in India later this year. According to reports, the company will launch the device in two storage configurations. It looks like the launch of the new premium smartphone in India from Realme is imminent. The company’s India CEO, Madhav Sheth, has teased the launch of the GT Neo 2. Sheth, on Twitter, asked users if and when they would want to see the company launch the new GT series phone.

Realme GT Neo 2 launch in India could happen during October. Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth took to Twitter to confirm the launch of the device. Sheth has not explicitly revealed the exact launch date of the GT Neo 2 in India. The poll options suggest that the phone could launch sometime in October.

The GT Neo 2 was launched in China at a starting price of CNY 2499 (roughly Rs 28,500) for the base 8GB RAM with a 128GB storage option. The phone comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC under the hood. It is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
The phone packs a 5000 mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging. It sports a 6.62-inch AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels. The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate and has a peak brightness of 1300 nits.
In terms of optics, the phone has a triple-camera setup on the back. The phone has a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide sensor and a 2MP macro camera. For selfies, there is a 16MP front camera. The device runs Android 11 out of the box with Realme UI 2.0 on top.
