Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth has finally announced the arrival of the Realme GT series in the global market. Sheth shared an official tweet claiming that the upcoming new Realme GT smartphones are going to launch in June and July. According to the post, the company is gearing up to launch two handsets in the global market, out of which one is said to be a 5G performance flagship phone and another will be the Realme GT camera flagship. Realme GT Global Launch Confirmed

According to the tweet shared by Sheth, Realme has confirmed that the 5G performance flagship variant will be launched in June and the camera-centric Realme GT model will be launched in July. Sheth didn’t reveal any specific launch dates for the smartphone nor suggested any device name.

The company has already launched the Realme GT smartphone in China so we can expect that the company might be hinting towards the standard Realme GT model. While the camera-centric model could be the Realme GT Neo which comes equipped with a 108-megapixel camera model. Realme is yet to reveal any details about the upcoming smartphone so it’s advisable to take this information with a pinch of salt.

Realme GT Specifications

Thanks to the Chinese launch we get to know almost everything about the smartphone. The Realme GT flaunts a 6.43-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The handset sports a punch-hole notch and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Realme GT draws power from an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G processor built on a 5nm fabrication process. It comes with an integrated Adreno 660 GPU for graphics processing. The smartphone is backed by 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. It boots Android 11 based Realme UI 2.0. The standard variant offers a 64MP Sony IMX682 primary sensor accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro lens. On the front, it has a 16MP sensor for selfies and video calls.

Meanwhile, at the 5G summit Realme has also announced that the company has committed to bringing 5G and its consumers closer. As per the announcement, Realme is said to enable 100 Million young consumers to use 5G smartphones in the next 3 years. Moreover, the company has also revealed that it will set up seven new R&D centres across the globe, which will be dedicated to exploring innovative 5G technologies and products.

In the next 2 years, the company is committed to investing USD 300 Million globally in 5G technology research and product development to vigorously promote global 5G popularization. “We will also set up more than ten 5G pop-up stores around the world allowing young people to create exclusive spaces,” reads the official Twitter post.
