The Realme Pad Mini Android tablet was launched in the Philippines a couple of weeks back as the second tablet from the company. The brand entered the tablet space with the launch of the Realme Pad back in 2021. The Pad Mini is a more affordable model with some obvious cuts in terms of specifications and features. The Realme Pad Mini moniker was spotted on a company listing recently.
Now, the company has officially teased and confirmed the launch of the Realme Pad Mini in India. Ahead of confirming the launch date, the teaser and microsite for the Pad Mini are now live on Realme’s official site and the Flipkart e-commerce platform.
Realme Pad Mini India Launch Confirmed
The Realme Pad Mini microsite on the Realme website is now live and the site says “coming soon”, which means the tablet will indeed launch in India in the coming weeks. The site confirms the battery and screen size of the upcoming tablet. The Pad Mini will come with a 6,400mAh battery and an 8.7-inch display 一 both of which are the same as the already launched model.
Realme Pad Mini: Specifications
The affordable tablet from Realme sports an 8.7-inch LCD with 1340×800 pixels resolution. Under the hood, the tablet is powered by a Unisoc T616 processor coupled with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of internal storage. The tab also supports microSD card up to 1TB. The tablet draws power from a 6,400mAh battery packed inside the tablet. It supports 18W fast charging.
On the back, there is a single 8MP camera for scanning documents. For selfies and video calls, there is a 5MP front camera. Realme’s budget tablet boots Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 out of the box. It will be interesting to see if the Indian variant will run on Android 12 out of the box. It comes with dual speakers. The tablet is 7.6mm thick and weighs about 372 grams. While the launch date for the same is yet to be announced by the company, the Realme Pad Mini could launch in India on April 29 along with the Realme GT Neo 3.
