Realme has launched the Realme V50 series smartphones in China. The newly launched V50 series smartphones were spotted in multiple certifications by our team at MySmartPrice. The device was spotted in 3C certification initially and later on the China Telecom website with complete specifications and renders.

The vanilla V50 smartphone is a carrier-locked version that is available for a cheaper price in comparison to the unlocked Realme V50s smartphone. The V50 series smartphones are trimmed-down versions of Realme 11X 5G smartphones launched in India. Realme equips the Realme V50 and Realme V50s smartphones with a downgraded primary camera and fast charging support.

Realme V50, Realme V50s: Pricing, Availability

Realme has launched the smartphones in Purple Dawn and Midnight Black colour options. The V50 series smartphones are available in two variants with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage and 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The carrier-locked Realme V50 smartphone retails for RMB 1,199 (approx. Rs 14,100) for the 6GB + 128GB version and RMB 1,399 (approx. Rs 16,400) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB version.

In contrast, the carrier-unlocked Realme V50s is available for RMB 1,499 (approx. Rs 17,600) and RMB 1,799 (approx. Rs 21,100) for the 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM option respectively. The smartphones are already up for sale on Realme China’s official website. Realme offers an instant discount of RMB 100 (approx. Rs 1,200) for the base variant of the Realme V50s smartphone.

The V50 series smartphones share identical specifications, with the only difference being carrier-locked and carrier-unlocked. Realme equips the smartphone with an LCD display with an FHD+ resolution. The display supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 680 nits. Under the hood, the device sports the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset, built on a 6nm process.

The chipset features two Cortex A76 cores clocked at 2.2GHz, six Cortex A55 cores at 2.0GHz, and Mali G57 MP2 GPU. Realme equips the smartphone with support for virtual RAM expansion up to 8GB using the unused internal storage of the device.
