Redmi K50 was expected to launch by the end of this year and a few months back and the specifications of Redmi K50 and K50 Pro were tipped online. However, there is no word from Xiaomi regarding the launch of the new devices and as the rumour mill stopped for a while and everyone kind of sat around, talking about other phones, suddenly a new report from My Drivers has once again made the Redmi fans excited about the upcoming Redmi K50, hopefully, a flagship killer lineup. Since the Redmi K50 was officially teased, everyone has been waiting for the new lineup bringing three new phones- Redmi K50, K50 Pro and K50 Pro+.

Now it looks like Xiaomi will bring back an old element- An under-display fingerprint scanner. That’s what the latest report indicates. The under-display fingerprint scanner is a fan favourite feature of Redmi K20 and though Xiaomi decided to go for a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, the craze didn’t seem to wash off. With the new lineup, the under-display fingerprint scanner could make a comeback, though it would incur more cost compared to a rear-mounted or side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
