Xiaomi‘s Redmi launched the Redmi K50 series earlier this year in China. The brand, so far, has the Redmi K50, the Redmi K50 Pro, and the Redmi K50 Gaming under the K50 series. Now, a new piece of information has surfaced on Weibo which suggests that the brand might launch a new handset under the Redmi K50 lineup later this year, courtesy of Digital Chat Station. The upcoming Redmi K50 series device could be the Redmi K50 Ultra and it will reportedly be powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor.

If true, the Redmi K50 Ultra will be the second handset with the Ultra moniker under the Redmi K-series. To those unaware, the brand had launched the Redmi K30 Ultra back in 2020 in China. Let us take a look at the Redmi K50 Ultra’s leaked specifications and features.

Redmi K50 Ultra Leaked Specifications

The Redmi K50 Ultra is said to feature an OLED display panel with a 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, similar to the Redmi K50 and the Redmi K50 Pro. The display panel might support Dolby Vision as well.

Under the hood, the upcoming Redmi K-series device will reportedly sport an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. To those unaware, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 was announced a couple of weeks back and is built on TSMC’s 4nm fabrication process.

As per the tipster, the Redmi K50 Ultra will be equipped with 100W fast charging support. This seems a bit odd considering the Redmi K50 Pro offers faster 120W fast charging.

As of now, only this much is known about the upcoming Redmi K50 series handset. Details about the battery, cameras, and all other aspects remain under the wraps. However, we can expect to learn more about the upcoming Redmi K50 series handset in the coming weeks.
