The Redmi K60 series launch event could take place early next year. Xiaomi is expected to launch multiple phones in the K60 series, which could include the K60, K60 Pro and K60 Pro Plus 5G. There will also be the K60 Gaming Edition, which might launch in select markets as a POCO premium phone.
Redmi has not confirmed any details about the K60 series launch date. While we wait for more details on that front, a new report has revealed some key details about the specifications of the upcoming Redmi flagship series. Let’s take a look at the key Redmi K60 series specifications, features and other details.
Redmi K60 Series Specifications Tipped
The Redmi K60 series could debut in China in Q1 of 2023. Ahead of its launch, the specifications of the K60 series have leaked. The piece of information comes from tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) who claims that the K60 series will feature a 2K resolution display. Much like the currently available K50 series in China, the K60 series could feature an AMOLED display across the lineup. Xiaomi is also expected to offer up to 120Hz or 144Hz for the K60 series. That being said, DCS did not reveal any details about the display size or its refresh rate.
One of the devices in the K60 series lineup will feature a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. It will come with up to 67W wired fast charging and 30W wireless charging support. The K60 series will be the first Redmi K-series phone to get support for wireless charging. The mentioned phone is also said to pack a 5500mAh battery under the hood. Lastly, the devices will run Android 13-based MIUI out of the box.
DCS did not mention which particular Redmi K-series phone will pack the specs mentioned above. Considering that the K60 Pro is rumoured to feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, the specs mentioned above might well be for the vanilla K60. We advise our readers to take the leaked details with a pinch of salt.
