Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi K60 Ultra in China in an offline event. The device was launched alongside the Mix Fold 3, Mi Pad 6 Max, and the Xiaomi Mi Band 8 Pro. The Redmi K60 Ultra has been in the talks recently because of its 24GB RAM. Let’s have a look at the exact details.
The Redmi K60 Ultra is a performance-centric device and has achieved an AnTuTu score of 1.7 million points. It is also the first Redmi device that is capable of recording 8K videos.
Redmi K60 Ultra: Price and Availability
The Redmi K60 Ultra is priced at CNY 2599 (Rs 30,000 approx) for the 12GB+256GB variant. The 16GB+256GB model is priced at CNY 2799 (Rs 32,000 approx). The 16GB+512GB variant is priced at CNY 2999 (Rs 34500 approx). The top 24GB+1TB model is priced at CNY 3599 (Rs 41,200 approx).
The Redmi K60 Ultra is available in three colours: Green, White, and Black. The device is currently exclusive to China. Xiaomi is yet to confirm the global availability of the Redmi K60 Ultra.
Redmi K60 Ultra: Specifications
The Redmi K60 Ultra features a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a 1.5K resolution at 2272 x 1220 pixels. The panel has a refresh rate of 144Hz with peak brightness levels up to 2600 nits. The device comes with a PixelWorks X7 Chipset that helps to output better colours and a sharper resolution.
The Redmi K60 Ultra is powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 9200+ processor, clocked at 3.35GHz. The chipset uses a 4nm fabrication. The device comes with LPDDR5X RAM on all variants, with the top model offering 24GB of RAM. It also uses UFS 4.0 storage on all storage models. The Redmi K60 Ultra runs on MIUI 14 based on Android 13, out of the box.
The device also comes with a Mediatek 690 APU that helps in processing AI-related tasks faster. Xiaomi has implemented its Wildboost 2.0 technology for cooling in the K60 Ultra. The company says that this will keep the phone cooler by 3 degrees Celsius.
The Redmi K60 Ultra comes with a triple rear camera setup. The primary camera is a 50MP IMX800 Sony sensor and is equipped with OIS. The secondary camera is an 8MP ultrawide lens, along with a 2MP portrait camera. The selfie camera is a 20MP sensor, housed by the punch-hole design.
The primary camera on the Redmi K60 Ultra can record videos up to 8K 24fps. The device can continuously record 8K videos for up to 3 hours 45 minutes in a single video.
The Redmi K60 Ultra runs on a 5000 mAh battery. The phone supports 120W fast charging using the USB Type-C port Xiaomi has said that the device will ship with the charger inside the box.
The Redmi K60 Ultra is 5G enabled. The device also comes with WiFi 7 support along with Bluetooth 5.3. It features an in-display fingerprint scanner. Xiaomi has also provided an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. However, the Redmi K60 Ultra does not have a headphone jack.
