Redmi K70 Ultra Specifications Surface Online: Here’s What we Know so Far

Xiaomi is reportedly working on the upcoming Redmi K70 Ultra smartphone. The upcoming smartphone is slated to debut in the second half of 2024. Xiaomi launched the Redmi K60 Ultra smartphone on August 2023 in China, while the Redmi K70 series launched in November 2023. So far, the Redmi K70 series includes the Redmi K70, Redmi K70 Pro and Redmi K70E smartphones, and the Ultra will be the most premium in the list when it launches.

Keep in mind that the vanilla Redmi K70 and Redmi K70E smartphones will debut under the POCO monikers in the international markets. Tipster Digital Chat Station had previously revealed the key specifications of the upcoming K70 Ultra smartphone. The tipster has now revealed the display specifications through a new post on Weibo.

Redmi K70 Ultra Expected Specifications

The latest post by the tipster claims that Xiaomi will equip the forthcoming Redmi K70 Ultra smartphone with an 8T OLED display with LTPO technology. For those unaware, 8T LTPO is a new technology to improve efficiency while switching the refresh rates. The technology is also said to offer performance improvements, while changing refresh rates.

The tipster hints that Xiaomi might debut the 8T OLED display with 1.5K or 2K resolution. Xiaomi will likely debut the smartphone with slim bezels on all four sides of the display. Under the hood, the forthcoming Redmi smartphone will sport a MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset fabricated on a 4nm process.

The chipset features one Cortex-X4 core at 3.25GHz, three Cortex-X4 cores at 2.85GHz, four Cortex-A720 cores at 2.0GHz, and a Mali-G720 Immortalis MP12 GPU. The tipster also reveals that Xiaomi will ship the smartphones with several improvements over the existing vanilla Redmi K70 and Redmi K70 Pro smartphones.

A previous leak claimed that the upcoming K70 Ultra smartphone will sport a 50MP Sony IMX LYTIA 800 primary sensor. The primary sensor will sport OIS support and be paired with a 108MP ultrawide lens.

Xiaomi might continue to equip the smartphone with a 6.67-inch display similar to the existing Redmi K70 Pro smartphone. The forthcoming K70 Ultra is said to offer performance, camera and fast charging improvements in comparison to the Redmi K70 Pro smartphone.
