The 8T LTPO technology sports an improved mechanism to efficiently switch refresh rates. Digital Chat Station adds that Xiaomi will continue to equip the smartphone with a similar peak brightness and high-frequency PWM dimming in comparison to its predecessor.

Digital Chat Station also states the current prototype of the device sports the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ SoC. The Redmi K60 Ultra smartphone had a peak brightness of 2600 nits and 2880Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. The new phone’s panel might also have a 144Hz refresh rate and support for HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, similar to its predecessor. The tipster adds Xiaomi will ship the smartphone with a 1.5K resolution panel.

Coming to the Mediatek Dimensity 9300+, this particular chipset was recently introduced alongside the Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro smartphones in the Chinese and global markets. MediaTek has fabricated the chipset on a 4nm process and equipped it with one Cortex-X4 core at 3.25GHz, three Cortex-X4 cores at 2.85GHz, four Cortex-A720 cores at 2.0GHz, and a Mali-G720 Immortalis MP12 GPU.

The smartphone will likely debut with HyperOS based on Android 14 out of the box. Xiaomi is expected to add a 50MP Sony LYTIA 800 sensor with OIS and EIS on the back of the Redmi K70 Ultra. The Sony LYTIA 800 sensor will be paired with a 108MP ultrawide lens, according to leaks. The details of other camera sensors are unavailable at the moment. The upcoming devices will likely debut in the first half of 2024, which is earlier than compared to the previous launch timeline.
