Redmi Pad SE Listed in Spanish Retail Outlet: Renders and Global Launch Leaked

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Pad in October 2022 in India. The company equipped the device with the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC. Xiaomi priced the device at Rs 19,999 for the top-end variant to compete against other tables under Rs 20,000. Kacper Skrzypek tipped that Xiaomi is working on a successor to the Redmi Pad. The tipster revealed the Redmi Pad 2 moniker and key specifications of the upcoming device. A new report from Spanish media named Kimovil reveals the renders and the complete specifications of the upcoming device. Xiaomiui report also confirms the global launch of the device. The report also adds that Xiaomi will launch the device under the Redmi Pad SE moniker.

Redmi Pad SE Tipped Specifications

The renders shared by the Spanish media reveal that the upcoming tablet will share a similar design to its predecessor. The renders reveal that the display will have a large display with huge bezels on all sides. The difference in design between both tablets lies in the rear camera layout. The upcoming tablet will feature a single camera ring instead of two in the original Redmi Pad.

A dual speaker grille, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB type C port can be seen on the bottom of the upcoming tablet. Another dual speaker grille and power button can be seen on the top of the device. Another render shared by the Spanish media outlet reveals that the device will feature Dolby Atmos support. The volume rockers and SIM card tray are on the right side. The large chin on the display also houses the front camera.

Xiaomiui report reveals that the tablet will be codenamed Xun. Previously, we had spotted the upcoming device on GeekBench with Android 13. Xiaomiui adds that the device will run on MIUI 14 based on Android 13 out of the box. The global firmware of the upcoming device is already live in MIUI servers. The report reveals that the last internal build of the upcoming tablet has the version number MIUI-V14.0.1.0.TMUMIXM and V14.0.1.0.TMUEUXM.

The tablet is expected to launch along with the Xiaomi 13T series smartphones. Xiaomi is likely to price the device below the original Redmi Pad. The upcoming Redmi Pad SE will have a large 11-inch IPS LCD panel. The display will have a refresh rate of 90Hz and a resolution of 1200 × 1920 pixels. The upcoming tablet with model number 23073RPBFC was recently spotted in the Geekbench listing. The device scored 415 points in the single-core and 1411 points in multi-core tests in Geekbench 6.

The listing reveals the upcoming tablet will have an octa-core CPU with two sets of 4 cores clocked at 2.40GHz. The listing also reveals that the chipset will have the codename Bengal. The GeekBench listing indicates the Pad SE will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC. The chipset is likely to pair with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

Xiaomi will equip the device with an 8MP rear and a 5MP selfie camera. The 3C listing of the smartphone revealed that the device will support 18W fast charging tech. A recent leak revealed that Xiaomi will equip the device with 8000 mAh battery. The FCC listing of the upcoming tablet revealed that Xiaomi will launch the device in three RAM and storage variants.
