Reliance Jio Hikes Prepaid Recharge Plan Prices by Up to Rs 480, Effective December 1

Reliance Jio has increased the tariff of its prepaid 4G plans in India. The company has increased the price of all its 4G prepaid plans in India following Airtel and Vodafone-Idea. Jio’s rival telcos had increased the prices of their respective 4G plans in India earlier this month by 20-25 percent. The Mukesh Ambani-led telco has also revised the pricing of the Jio prepaid plans, which will be valid from December 1. The basic Jio 4G prepaid plan, which previously cost Rs 129, will cost Rs 155. Let’s take a look at the new 4G prepaid plans price of Reliance Jio.

Reliance Jio new prepaid plans 

Reliance Jio has increased the price of all its 4G prepaid plans by 20 percent. The move comes after Airtel and Vi hiked the 4G prepaid plans price by up to 25 percent. Jio, in its press release, stated that the price hike will further “ strengthen a sustainable telecom industry.”

Following December 1, 2021, the JioPhone plan, which cost Rs 75 for 28 days, will now cost Rs 91 in India. The unlimited plans will now start at Rs 155, as opposed to Rs 129. Under this 28-day plan, users get 2GB of data per month along with unlimited voice calls and 300 SMS. The Rs 149 Jio prepaid plan, which was valid for 24 days, will cost Rs 179. Users will get 1GB of 4G data per day along with 100 SMS and unlimited voice calls.

The price of the Jio Rs 199 prepaid plan has been increased to Rs 239. The 28-day plan will offer 1.5 of 4G data along with 100 SMS per day and unlimited voice calls. Similarly, the Rs 249 plan with 2GB of data per day for 28 days will cost Rs 299.

Reliance Jio’s Rs 399 and Rs 444 will cost Rs 479 and Rs 533 starting December 1. Users will get 1.5GB and 2GB of data per day under the two plans. In addition to this, users also get 100 SMS and unlimited voice calls under the two plans.

The three-month plans, which lasted for 84 days, are also more expensive now. The base 1.5GB of 4G data per day plan, which cost Rs 555 previously, will now be available for Rs 666.
