Samsung appears to be gearing up for the launch of the new smartphone in the A-series, the Samsung Galaxy A05. This upcoming device from Samsung will be arriving as a successor to the Galaxy A04 which made its debut last year in August. The Galaxy A05 was spotted in the IMEI database a couple of days back. Now, in a recent development, the smartphone has received the Wi-Fi Alliance certification. The Wi-Fi Alliance website reveals the moniker name, model number of the device, and the software version information ahead of the launch.
As per the Wi-Fi Alliance certification, the Galaxy A05 possesses model number SM-A055F-DS. Furthermore, the certification also confirms the moniker as Galaxy A05. It also reveals that the device will boot Android 13 out of the box. Furthermore, the certification also discloses that the Galaxy A05 will have Wi-Fi 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency bands support. Apart from these details, no other specification of the smartphone is revealed by the certification.
Additionally, the launch date of the device remains unknown currently. We shall get to learn more details about the device such as its specification and design if it appears on benchmark or other certifications in the coming few days. As mentioned above, this upcoming smartphone from Samsung will be arriving as a successor to the Galaxy A04. The Galaxy A04 was launched by Samsung last year. It features a 6.5-inch PLS LCD display that has an HD+ resolution, a standard 60Hz refresh rate, and a 270 PPI pixel density.
The smartphone is powered by an octa-core processor which is coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The device also has a microSD card slot which allows storage expansion up to 1TB. When it comes to imaging, the handset features a dual-camera setup which consists of a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor. The other key features which the Galaxy A04 offer includes a 5MP selfie camera, a 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a 5,000mAh battery.
The Galaxy A04 also made its debut in India alongside the Galaxy A04e back in December. The Galaxy A04 price in India starts at Rs 11,999, whereas the Galaxy A04e retails for Rs 9,299 for the base model.
