Samsung Galaxy A24 Leaked Specifications Reveal Exynos 7904 SoC, 48MP OIS Rear Camera

Mid-range Galaxy A-series devices might finally get AMOLED display.

Samsung is expected to launch the Samsung Galaxy A24 smartphone in the coming months. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy A24 will succeed the Galaxy A23 which was launched earlier this year. In the latest development, The Pixel has leaked the specifications of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A24. The leaked information reveals that the Samsung Galaxy A24 will offer a 90Hz AMOLED display. It will come equipped with a 48MP OIS camera.

The Samsung Galaxy A24 is said to be powered by an Exynos 7904 processor. The device is tipped to come equipped with a 4000mAh battery unit. Let us take a closer look at the Samsung Galaxy A24 specifications and features.

Mid-range A-series Devices Might Get AMOLED Display

Samsung is said to offer a 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. This will be a major change compared to its predecessor. To those unaware, the Samsung Galaxy A23 offers a 90Hz refresh rate display but it has an LCD panel. Folks at The Pixel aren’t sure if Samsung will go with a waterdrop notch display or a dot-notch display.

Samsung Galaxy A24 Might Sport an Almost Four-Year-Old Processor

The upcoming A-series smartphone from Samsung is said to be powered by an Exynos 7904 processor. The Exynos 7904 is an old processor and is fabbed on a 14nm FinFET manufacturing process. Exynos 7904 makes use of 2 × Cortex-A73 and 6 × Cortex-A53 cores and brings with it Mali G71 GPU. Samsung had used the Exynos 7904 on several smartphones including Samsung Galaxy M20, Galaxy M30, and Galaxy A40 back in 2019.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy A24 will reportedly feature a triple-rear camera setup including a 48MP primary shooter with OIS. The inclusion of OIS is another upgrade compared to its predecessor.

The high-resolution sensor on the device might get accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 5MP auxiliary sensor. The report suggests that the 5MP sensor might work as a depth or macro sensor. However, an earlier report suggested that the upcoming Galaxy A24 will skip the macro sensor.

The Samsung Galaxy A24 is tipped to sport a 16MP selfie camera. The handset is said to offer a 4000mAh battery unit with 15W fast charging support. However, it seems like the details regarding the battery and charging might not be entirely correct since The Pixel says that it couldn’t verify the information. To those unaware, the Samsung Galaxy A23 supports 25W fast charging which raises even more doubts on the information leaked about the charging capabilities.

The upcoming A-series smartphone is said to come in a 6GB RAM variant. The base variant of the device might sport 64GB storage.
