Samsung is reportedly in the process of developing the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A55 5G smartphone. Our team at MySmartPrice spotted the device in multiple certifications, including BIS, confirming the India debut of the device. The 5K CAD renders of the smartphone were also revealed by our team at MySmartPrice in partnership with OnLeaks. Now, we have spotted the upcoming Galaxy A55 5G smartphone in the FCC database with the model number SM-A556E/DS.

Samsung Galaxy A55 5G FCC Certification

The upcoming Galaxy A55 5G smartphone obtained FCC certification with the model number SM-A556E/DS and FCC ID A3LSMA556E. The FCC database confirms that Samsung will debut the smartphone with a dual SIM card tray. The database also divulges that the device supports the adapter with the model number EP-TA800.

The details of the support adapter hint that Samsung will equip the smartphone with support for 25W fast charging technology. The FCC database doesn’t reveal any other specifications for the upcoming Galaxy A series smartphone. The 3C certification obtained by the smartphone confirmed the support for 25W fast charging with a 9V/2.77A rating.

The 3C certification also indicates that Samsung won’t include the adapter in the box, similar to other Samsung smartphones. A recent leak hints that Samsung will debut the smartphone in the second quarter of 2024. The device is tipped to debut alongside the Galaxy A35 5G smartphone. The Galaxy A55 5G smartphone will likely launch in Awesome Ice Blue, Awesome Lilac, and Awesome Navy colours.

The Geekbench database confirms that Samsung will equip the smartphone with the unannounced Exynos 1480 SoC. The database reveals that the octa-core SoC has four performance cores clocked at 2.75GHz each and four efficiency cores each clocked at 2.05GHz. The database further adds that the SoC will sport the model number s5e8845 and integrate the Xclipse 530 GPU.

The Geekbench listing also confirms that the chipset will pair with up to 8GB of RAM. The device will also launch with Android 14 out of the box, according to the Geekbench listing.
