Samsung is reportedly in the works to launch its Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 smartphone. The company’s third foldable and second-generation Galaxy Fold smartphone is likely to be unveiled alongside its flagship Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series of smartphones. As per Ice Universe on Weibo, the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2, Samsung Galaxy Note 20 lineup, and Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 are set for launch on August 5, 2020. A little while ago, the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 was spotted on the 3C certification website, which revealed that it would feature two batteries, just like its predecessor. Today, the device has appeared on the Chinese 3C certification website yet again, but this time it has revealed the charging speed of the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2. As seen in the 3C certification website, the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 (with the model number SM-F9160) will come with up to 25W fast charging (11.0VDC, 2.25A). Other than the charging speed, the 3C certification just double-checks the fact that the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will be a 5G smartphone. Nevertheless, the previous 3C listing has already given us a hint about the battery of the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2. Notably, the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 will feature a dual battery, which will include a 2,275mAh unit and a 2,090mAh unit, thereby making it 4,365mAh in total.
As far as the rest of the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 are concerned, previous leaks hint that the device will feature a 7.59-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2,213 x 1,689 pixels. The device is reportedly going to sport a 120Hz refresh rate panel. The front display of the device is alleged to be a 6.23-inch panel with a standard 60Hz refresh rate. The device is said to come with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. The resolution of the front display will be 2,267 x 819 pixels.
