Samsung is rumoured to launch the Galaxy M42 in India. The upcoming Galaxy M-series smartphone is tipped to launch in April 2021. While the exact launch date is unknown, some key details of the device have leaked online. According to tipster Mukul Sharma, the Samsung Galaxy M42 will come with 5G network support. It will be the first Samsung Galaxy M-series smartphone to support the next-generation network. Previously, it was rumoured that the Galaxy M42 will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G SoC for 5G connectivity. Samsung Galaxy M42 5G is expected to launch very soon in India. Ahead of the launch, the teaser of the launch has leaked online.


The teaser video claims that the Galaxy M42 5G will be the fastest smartphone in its price range. It is also tipped to come with 5G network support. So far, none of the Galaxy M-series smartphones come with 5G support. If the leaked details are true, the Galaxy M42 5G will be the first in its series to support 5G connectivity.

Previously, tipsters GadgetsData and Abhishek Yadav had claimed that the device will launch by the end of this month in India. They further revealed that the phone will come with a Snapdragon 750G SoC under the hood.  

The smartphone was previously spotted on Geekbench with the model number SM-M426B. The Geekbench listing also revealed that the phone will come with the Snapdragon 750G SoC. It is paired with Adreno 619 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The device will run Android 11 out of the box with a layer of One UI 3.0. The phone is certified by Wi-Fi Alliance and Bluetooth SIG. According to a 3C listing, the device will pack a 6000mAh battery. We can also expect the phone to feature a 64MP primary camera. Other details of the device such as the display size, refresh rate support, etc., are unknown at the moment.
