It’s almost certain that Samsung is going to launch the Galaxy S21 FE pretty soon, as the phone has now been spotted on Geekbench. The phone may launch at Samsung’s Unpacked event, alongside the Galaxy S22 series, during CES. For now, the date seems to be January 4, on which the new flagship phones from Samsung will be unveiled and the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will also make its debut. Earlier, rumours suggested that the phone would come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 SoC, but the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE with Exynos 2100 was spotted on Google Play Console back in September. While the S21 FE is obviously a phone that offers value for money, with some of the goodness of the flagship S21 series, the phone may not come with a microSD card slot and 3.5 mm headphone jack. There won’t be a microSD slot either.
Earlier, the phone was spotted running Android 11 while now it seems that the phone is running the latest Android 12. Apart from that, the phone can be seen as having 8GB of RAM.
Though any variant with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 has not been spotted yet, it is expected that Samsung may launch the phone with both the Snapdragon 888 and Exynos 2100 depending on the region. As of now, it is rumoured that the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE may come with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB onboard storage.
The phone may come with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 64-megapixel primary camera, along an ultra-wide lens and a depth sensor. The phone may come with a 4500mAh battery with fast charging. As the launch date draws near, more details regarding the phone should emerge and only then we may get a clarify over the SoC and a few other things.
