The Samsung Galaxy S24 teardown video reveals that the smartphone is extremely easy to take apart and repair. The back panel and individual camera lenses can simply be pried open and replaced using heat. The video also reveals that the majority of the parts are easily removable except for the display and the front camera. It’s impossible to remove the display without damaging it and removing the front camera requires an exacto knife. Let’s take a look at the teardown video and the information revealed by it.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Scores 9/10 in Reparability According to a Teardown Video

The video posted by the YouTube Channel PBKreviews shows the complete teardown of the latest base flagship model launched by Samsung. The video reveals that the back panel and the individual camera lenses can be removed and replaced by applying heat. Thereafter, individual parts including the dual-layer motherboard, rear cameras, earpiece, and other parts can be easily removed for repair or replacement. The battery is also easily removable using a convenient pull tab.

The video reports that the display cannot be pried off without damaging it. However, you wouldn’t be trying to remove the display if it wasn’t damaged in the first place. Additionally, the front camera is also glued in place with a gasket in place and users will have to cut the glue to remove the front camera. The video gives Samsung Galaxy S24 a 9/10 reparability score, 1.5/2 for internal parts organisation, and maximum score for parts availability and ease of replacement.

The teardown video also reveals that the Samsung Galaxy S24 has a bigger VC cooling chamber compared to last year’s Samsung Galaxy S23. Additionally, the base model doesn’t come with the Ultra Wideband (UWB) antenna like its pricier siblings – Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra.
