At first glance, the images indicate that the forthcoming Galaxy S24 Ultra will boast an almost identical design to its predecessor. But, upon closer inspection, it becomes apparent that the upcoming device features a completely flat display. Additionally, it seems the company is opting for a Titanium frame, following in the footsteps of the latest iPhones.
Beyond these changes, everything else appears unchanged from its predecessor. The familiar quad-camera setup, Samsung branding at the bottom, centrally positioned punch-hole selfie camera, S-Pen slot, volume rockers, and power button remain consistent. Moreover, akin to Apple, it appears that Samsung is also embracing more muted colours this year.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Series Expected Launch Date in India
The Samsung Galaxy S24 series is said to be announced on January 17, 2024, according to a report from The Elec in Korea. But Samsung has not confirmed this officially.
Based on the brand’s previous launches, we expect the Galaxy S24 Series to launch in India around the same time as the global unveiling.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Specifications (Expected)
As per the Geekbench listing, the Galaxy S24 Ultra will draw power from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy. It has a higher clock speed and is exclusively available for Samsung devices. Samsung recently posted a new video showcasing its new 200MP Samsung ISOCELL sensor, which is expected to be available on the upcoming Galaxy S24 Ultra. Further, it is also said to include a 12MP Sony IMX564 ultra-wide secondary sensor with 1/2.55 size, a 10MP Sony IMX754+ telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 48MP telephoto sensor with support for 5x optical zoom.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra will likely flaunt a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. It is expected to run the Android 14-based OneUI 6.0, and since Google has raised the bar for updates, we can expect Samsung to give five years of OS and six years of security updates.
However, take all this information with a pinch of salt, as the company has not revealed any details about its upcoming flagships.
