Samsung is expected to introduce the Galaxy S24 series next year. The smartphones in the S24 lineup is expected to incorporate advanced AI functionalities, considering that the South Korean smartphone maker had recently filed a trademark for AI Phone and AI Smartphone. The hands-on images of the S24 Ultra were also revealed online a few days back. The images revealed that the device will have a flat display with a punch-hole cutout and a quad-camera setup. Now, in a recent development, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra smartphone has received the NBTC certification.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Moniker Confirmed By NBTC Certification
The NBTC certification confirms the moniker as Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. Additionally, the listing reveals the model number of the device as SM-S928B/DS. Furthermore, the certification also confirms that the handset will be offering a 5G support. Besides, the moniker, model number, and 5G information, no other specification of the handset is revealed by the NBTC certification.
The past leak suggests that the device will be 6.8-inch display which could have a WQHD+ resolution. Under the hood, the smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, as revealed by the Geekbench listing earlier. The smartphone is expected to pack up to 8GB/12GB of RAM and a 128GB/256GB of internal storage. As for the software, the S24 series devices should run Android 14 out of the box.
Moving onto the imaging department, the S24 Ultra is expected to feature a 200MP primary camera, 12MP ultra-wide lens, 10MP telephoto sensor, and a 50MP periscope lens. The device is likely to ship with a 5,000mAh battery which will offer 45W fast charging support as revealed by the 3C certification earlier. Last but not least, the device is also expected to feature a titanium frame.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra was also spotted on the BIS certification a couple of days back with model number as SM-S928B/DS. At present, Samsung has not disclosed the launch date of the S24 series. However, the past leak suggests that Samsung will be announcing the S24 series in the US on January 17.
