Samsung is preparing to unveil its next set of rugged tablets, the Galaxy Tab Active 5 series. It will succeed the Tab Active4 Pro, which was launched in October last year. The Galaxy Tab Active 5/Pro recently appeared on the FCC certification website. Today, we spotted the Galaxy Tab Active 5 (Pro) on SafetyKorea and KTL certifications with the SM-X306N model number.

The listing on the KTL certification reveals that the upcoming tablet from the South Korean giant will have a 4900mAh battery paired with 15W charging. On the other hand, the listing on the SafetyKorea certification gives a real-life image of the device.

As we can see in the image above, the Galaxy Tab Active 5 (Pro) will have a physical button at the centre accompanied by two other switches on both sides. It also seems to have relatively thick bezels, which is expected on a rugged device.

The Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro showcases a 10.1-inch TFT LCD boasting a 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution and is fortified with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection. Beneath the display is fueled by the Snapdragon 778G chipset, coupled with the Adreno 642L GPU. The tablet is offered in two storage configurations: 4GB of RAM paired with 64GB of storage and 6GB of RAM with 128GB of storage.

Concerning its camera setup, the Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro is equipped with a 13MP single rear camera and an 8MP front-facing selfie shooter. The device is equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack and supports essential sensors, including front-mounted fingerprint recognition, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass. Powering the tablet is a robust 7600mAh battery.
