Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 Might Launch in India Soon

The Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 has been listed on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website with model number SM-G556B. The BIS certification listing does indicate that the device could be introduced in India soon. To recall, the Galaxy XCover 5 and the XCover 6 smartphone never made it to the Indian market. However, considering that the XCover 7 has received the BIS approval, we can expect Samsung to launch the handset in India.

If the previous details are to be considered, the Galaxy XCover 7 will have thick bezels around the display, and a water-drop shape notch which will accommodate the selfie camera. The device will also have a removable battery, MIL-STD-810H-compliant build with drop-to-concrete resistance, and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. The other details of the smartphone such as its display size, camera configuration, and battery capacity information remains unknown currently.

The smartphone is expected to arrive as a successor to the Galaxy XCover 5 which was launched back in March 2021. To recall, the Galaxy XCover 5 features a 5.3-inch display that has a HD+ resolution and a Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. The device is powered by Exynos 850 SoC which is coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone also has a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 512GB.

As far as the rest of the key features of the Galaxy XCover 5 go, it has a 16MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP selfie camera, an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, and an MIL-STD 810G standard. The device packs a 3,000mAh removable battery which supports 15W fast charging.
