Samsung Will Not Launch Galaxy Z Flip 6 Featuring an Older SoC

The Geekbench listing with the previous gen Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 flagship SoC has the value SCG20KDU1BXCH, which is the firmware for the Japanese variant of the Galaxy S23 Ultra with the Samsung SCG20 codename.

The Geekbench listing was earlier updated for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 smartphone with the SM-F741U model number. The database divulged that Samsung could launch the smartphone with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and Adreno 740 GPU.

Samsung is expected to announce the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 clamshell foldable at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event. Today, we have spotted the US version of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 in the Geekbench database with the SM-F741U model number.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 Geekbench Listing

The upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 6 smartphone has scored 15,084 points in the Vulkan score of the Geekbench version 6.2.2 platform. The device will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm chipset with the pineapple codename and ARM implementor 65 architecture 8 variant 0 part 3458 revision 1 identifier.

The chipset features one core at 3.4GHz, three cores at 3.15GHz, two cores at 2.96GHz, two cores at 2.27GHz, and an Adreno 750 GPU. The octa-core setup and the GPU confirm that Samsung will equip the smartphone with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Made for Galaxy chipset.

The Snapdragon chipset will pair with up to 8GB of RAM. Samsung will debut the smartphone with Android 14 out of the box, which is likely to be based on One UI 6.1. The Geekbench database doesn’t reveal any other specifications for the smartphone.

The batteries of the smartphone were recently spotted on Safety Korea and BIS certifications. The South Korean giant is tipped to equip the smartphone with a larger cover screen, which will measure 3.9 inches.

Samsung is also tipped to launch the smartphone in a 12GB variant, apart from the 8GB RAM variant. The device is also expected to sport a larger battery, which will measure 4,000mAh.
