The South Korean giant also unveiled the products in India. Samsung announced the offer of the smartphone in the last week of August in India. The company has priced the base variant of Galaxy Z Fold 5 at Rs 1,54,999 and Rs 99,999 for the base variant of Galaxy Z Flip 5.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Watch 6 Thom Browne Edition
Samsung has launched the Thom Browne edition of Galaxy Z Fold 5 at 4.29 million won (approx. Rs. 2,68,000). The company added that the product will be available to purchase from September 12. Samsung hasn’t revealed the market-wise availability of the smartphone. The company reveals that the product can be purchased from Samsung.com for Korean customers.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Watch 6 Thom Browne Edition is the latest collaboration between Samsung and Thom Browne. The Thom Browne Edition of Galaxy Z Fold 5 highlights Samsung’s foldable and Thom Browne’s iconic design elements. The smartphone sports a sleek pebble leather finish on the rear. The rear finish includes red, white, and blue stripes with the fabric texture.
The Browne design elements on the rear glass, along with a black frame, golden hinge, and golden rings around the camera, improve the premium of the smartphone. Samsung has also launched the smartphone in two special leather pouches and a special S Pen version. The home-grown brand has also equipped the packaging of the foldable device with a unique design.
The packaging box sports the iconic Browne briefcase design. In contrast, the Browne Edition of Galaxy Watch 6 sports a gold-tone body colour with a special watch face and Thom Browne logo. Samsung has also launched the Galaxy Watch 6 in two leather straps with Thom Browne elements.
The South Korean giant has also launched accessories, including a 25W travel adaptor, USB-C to USB-C cable and more. Samsung equips the Galaxy Z Fold 5 smartphone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The smartphone features a 7.8-inch foldable AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung also equips the device with a smaller 6.2-inch AMOLED display with similar specifications.
The device is backed by a 4400mAh battery backed by 25W fast charging tech. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 features a triple-rear camera, including a 50MP primary camera with OIS. The primary sensor is paired with a secondary 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 10MP telephoto lens. Samsung equips the device with a 4MP under-display and 10MP selfie camera.
