Samsung has announced the launch of Health Monitor BP and electrocardiogram (ECG) tracking features for the Galaxy Watch 6 series in India. The features will be available to users via an over-the-air (OTA) update, the company said in a press release.

The Health Monitor BP and ECG tracking features will allow Galaxy Watch 6 series users to monitor their health, which makes it easier to manage regular medical checkups. The features can be accessed through the Samsung Health Monitor App.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 users will need to download the Samsung Health Monitor App from the Galaxy Store. Users can find instructions to measure their BP and ECG. The features will also be available on the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 5 series.

Thanks to the Photoplethysmogram (PPG) sensor, which is built inside the Galaxy Watch, users can record their systolic and diastolic pressure, as well as pulse rate. This data will be recorded in the Samsung Health Monitor app.
