Sony has launched a new premium smart TV in India. The Sony Bravia XR-77A80K OLED TV is now available in 77-inch screen size in the country. Globally, the company has made the A80K series available in three screen sizes. The smaller 55-inch and 65-inch models have not been made available yet in India.

The new Sony Bravia XR-77A80K comes with a 77-inch OLED display with a 4K resolution. It is priced at Rs 6,99,900 in India. The smart TV upscales content close to 4K quality with the help of the Cognitive Processor XR. Sony claims that the new Cognitive Processor XR reproduces content the way humans see and hear for an incredibly lifelike experience. It understands how the human eye focuses and cross-analyses images to offer great contrast levels and vivid colours.
The XR Triluminos Pro tech enables the XR-77A80K to access over a billion colours and reproduce each one with the subtle differences seen in the real world. For audio, the sound comes directly from the screen with Acoustic Surface Audio＋. Sony does so by adding triple actuators behind the TV, which vibrate to create acoustics that moves with the picture. The left and right subwoofers also boost bass for an immersive audio experience.
The company further claims that the Bravia XR-AAA80K offers a great gaming experience with dedicated game mode with HDMI 2.1 compatibility, including 4K 120fps, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), Auto HDR Tone and Auto Game Mode.
The Sony smart TV also supports Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos along with IMAX Enhanced and Netflix Adaptive Calibrated Mode. Additionally, there is support for Google TV, Apple AirPlay 2, HomeKit, etc.
