The Sony PlayStation 5 (PS5) will be available with up to Rs 13,000 discount as part of Sony’s Summer Promo offer. The company will offer a limited-period discount on the PS5 Disc Edition starting April 10. Sony’s Summer Promo offer will be valid until April 30 or until stocks last.
The Sony PS5 Disc Edition debuted at Rs 44,990 in 2021 and currently retails for Rs 54,990 in the country. Interested buyers can avail themselves of the offer through Amazon, Blinkit, Croma, Flipkart, Reliance, Sony Center, Vijay Sales, and other participating retailers.
Readers must note that the Summer Promo offer does not apply to the Sony PlayStation 5 (Slim) launched last week in the country. Also, the Sony PS5 Digital Edition isn’t eligible for the Summer Promo offer. This means that the Sony PS5 Disc Edition (CFI -1208A01R) is the only console to benefit from this limited-time offer.
The company recently launched the PS5 Slim, which has a smaller footprint and is priced at Rs 54,990 for the disc edition and Rs 49,990 for the digital edition. Sony has yet to confirm the price after the discount offers have come into place. These will likely be revealed on April 10, when the discounts are live.

The Sony PS5 sports an octa-core AMD Ryzen Zen 2 processor with a Radeon RDNA 2-based graphics engine. It features 16GB GDDR6 RAM and 825GB NVMe SSD. The console features a super-speed USB Type-C port (supports up to 10Gbps), a hi-speed USB Type-C port, and two USB Type-A ports.
The Sony PS5 features support for WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax and also has an Ethernet port. There is an HDMI 2.1 port, which supports 4K at 120Hz, 8K outputs. The Sony PS5 weighs 4.5 kg and measures 390 × 104 × 260mm.
