Vivo Pad 2 Live Images and Specifications Revealed Ahead of Launch

Vivo is gearing up for the launch of new foldable smartphones in China. The upcoming Vivo X Fold 2 and Vivo X Flip have been rumoured to launch in April 2023. The specifications and live images of these smartphones were leaked recently. There are also reports that Vivo will launch a successor to the Vivo Pad launched in China on April 2022. Digital Chat Station on Weibo has revealed the live images and specifications of the forthcoming Vivo Pad 2. The tablet is likely to compete against OnePlus Pad and OPPO Pad. The specifications of the tablet were tipped earlier by Digital Chat Station.

Vivo Pad 2: Live Images and Tipped Specifications

The images revealed that the forthcoming Vivo Pad 2 would feature a dual rear camera setup and an LED flash. The Vivo logo is placed at the centre of the rear panel and has large bezels around the display. Vivo will also launch official accessories with the tablet like Vivo Pencil, Vivo Keyboard, and more. The key specifications of the tablet are also revealed through the live images.

The image confirms that the Vivo Pad 2 will be equipped with MediaTek Dimesnity 9000 chipset built on a 4nm process. It is an octa-core chipset with an ultra-core Arm Cortex-X2 clocked at 3.05GHz, three super-cores Arm Cortex-A710 at 2.85GHz, four efficiency cores Arm Cortex-A510 and Mali-G710 MC10 GPU. The chipset pairs with up to 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

The RAM can also be expanded virtually up to 8GB, and the total RAM capacity can be increased to 16GB. It also reveals that the upcoming device would run on OriginOS 3 based on Android 13 out of the box. Previously, it was tipped by DCS that it would feature the Dimensity 9000 chipset. The Pad 2 has been listed in the Google Play Support Device list with the model number PA2373.

The device is also tipped to feature a larger 12-inch IPS LCD panel with a 2.5K resolution. The display is also tipped to support a 144Hz refresh rate. Even though the tipster revealed that it would feature a larger battery, the exact specification has yet to be discovered. The device will also be available in a higher variant with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.

The original Vivo Pad had an 11-inch IPS LCD display with a 2.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. In the optics department, it features a dual rear camera setup with a 13MP primary camera and 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. The tablet is backed by a large 8040 mAh battery with support for 44W fast charging tech.
