The Game Awards is not just a big night to honour the best games in the year, it also reveals the world’s premier trailers of games that developers are working on. The 2023 edition of the Geoff Keighley-hosted Game Awards took place on December 7 in Los Angeles. As usual, the awards ceremony showcased many world-premier trailers for several categories. From brand-new reveals and long-awaited updates to DLC announcements, hardware showcases, and merch reveals these trailers contribute significantly to the show’s allure, captivating viewers and enhancing the overall experience.

Brothers: A Tale Of Two Sons Remake
Kicking off the show the 505 Games Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake is coming to the latest gen consoles a decade after its original release. In this renowned 2013 adventure, you navigate the challenge of simultaneously controlling two characters to solve environmental puzzles, all intending to cure the two brothers’ ailing father. The game will be out on Feb 28, 2024, for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
Pony Island 2: Panda Circus
The 2016 action-adventure hit game Pony Island is getting a sequel. Daniel Mullins, the Canadian indie developer behind Inscryption (2021) is gearing up for another captivating experience. Named “Pony Island 2: Panda Circus 2,” the upcoming game introduces a blend of first-person open-world gameplay and a 2D game-within-a-game that combines various formats from classic pixel gameplay. Scheduled for release in 2025, it promises a unique and engaging gaming experience.
The Rise of the Golden Idol
Color Gray has officially unveiled “The Rise of the Golden Idol,” the much-anticipated sequel to “The Curse of the Golden Idol.” The teaser hints at a captivating narrative, featuring mugshots connected on a corkboard, leading to the ominous reappearance of the cursed idol. The title make its launch on is set to launch on Netflix Games, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
Hellblade 2
“Hellblade II: Senua’s Saga” is an upcoming action-adventure game, continuing the psychological journey of Senua. With stunning visuals, it explores Norse mythology, promising a gripping and immersive experience. The game unveils diverse locales, adversaries, and additional elements and is set to release in 2024.
Usual June
Finji, the publishers behind Tunic and Night In The Woods has revealed their upcoming project, Usual June. A new action-adventure title is centred on college student, June who is being followed by a mysterious ghost. The title is developed in collaboration with Sweet Baby and is set to arrive in 2025.
Windblown
“Windblown,” an eagerly anticipated game, is set to release soon with early access for PC starting in 2024. With captivating visuals and engaging gameplay, it promises a thrilling experience for players seeking a new gaming adventure as seen in the trailer.
Arknights: Endfield
The awards ceremony progressed with the Arknights: Endfield trailer, showcasing exhilarating music and visually stunning combat sequences. The trailer unveiled an upcoming PC technical test, allowing eager fans to explore the sci-fi action RPG ahead of its unknown release date.
God Of War Ragnarok: Valhalla
A new free DLC for God of War Ragnarok: Valhalla A free roguelike experience awaits as Kratos joins forces with Mimir on a perilous journey to an enigmatic island teeming with monsters. This exciting mode is set to launch next week, on December 12.

The much-anticipated partnership between veteran developer Hideo Kojima and Xbox was unveiled in a peculiar trailer, featuring various individuals delivering a shared speech in distinct manners. The ‘Overdose’ trailer reveals little: three remarkably lifelike faces delivering a brief monologue, each infused with distinctly contrasting emotions, creating an uncanny valley effect. Kojima says it’s “a game and at the same time a movie and at the same time a new form of media.” Jordan Peele is also involved in the collaborative effort on the project named “Overdose.”

Marvel’s Blade
Marvel’s Blade is the latest title from Arkane Lyon, which is known for Deathloop and the Dishonored franchise. With intense visuals and a gripping narrative, the game immerses players in the vampire hunter’s dark world, combining combat and storytelling. The release date has not been revealed.
Final Fantasy XVI DLC
Square Enix revealed two additional story expansions for Final Fantasy XVI: Echoes Of The Fallen and The Rising Tide. Echoes of the Fallen, the initial expansion, is currently accessible on PS5. The subsequent expansion, The Rising Tide, is scheduled for release in the spring of 2024.
Tales of Kenzera: Zau
Tales of Kenzera: Zau unfolds an epic adventure in a rich fantasy world. With compelling storytelling and vibrant visuals, players embark on a journey filled with mystery, magic, and strategic battles. It’s set to launch on April 23, 2024.
Sega Announce Five Games
Sega revealed plans to develop new games inspired by a collection of classic arcade titles: Shinobi, Crazy Taxi, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, and Jet Set Radio games. We did not know that these were new games in the series or remakes. They are set to launch in the coming years.
Monster Hunter Wilds
Wrapping up the evening for World Premier, Capcom revealed Monster Hunter Wilds, the newest instalment in the globally acclaimed adventure series. The trailer featured a hunter riding a monster amidst a group of migrating creatures, strategically attracting larger monsters. Scheduled for release on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC in 2025.
