Highlights
  • Vi’s new prepaid plan is the most affordable Amazon Prime Video bundle recharge in India.
  • It undercuts similar plans from Airtel and Jio by a margin of Rs 100.
  • Vi’s bundle plans with Disney+Hotstar are also cheaper than Jio and Airtel.

Vi has launched a new prepaid recharge plan with a bundle of Amazon Prime Video subscriptions. The company calls it the most affordable annual plan in the segment as it comes with a validity of 365 days for Rs 3199.

The plan also includes unlimited calling benefits, daily SMS, and weekend data rollover. It rivals the annual recharge plans from Jio and Airtel with similar benefits but at a much cheaper price. Let’s have a look.

Vi Rs 3199 Annual Plan With Amazon Prime Video

The Vi Rs 3199 prepaid recharge offers 2GB of 4G data daily. It also comes with 100 SMS per day and unlimited calling. The highlight of this plan is the bundled subscription to Amazon Prime Video Mobile edition. The plan also offers Vi binge-free between 12 am – 6 am where users have access to unlimited data that does not count against their 2GB daily quota.

Vi’s Rs 3199 plan is indeed the most affordable plan when we consider all the benefits that it offers, in comparison to similar plans from other telecom operators. For reference, Jio’s annual plan with Amazon Prime Video is priced at Rs 3227 with the same 365-day validity and a 2GB daily data limit. Airtel currently does not have any annual plan with the Prime Video bundle.

Vi also has a Rs 3099 prepaid plan with Disney+Hotstar subscription. It offers the same telecom benefits of 2GB daily data, unlimited calling, and 365-day validity. This plan beats both Airtel and Jio, as Airtel’s plan with the same benefits is priced at Rs 3359, whereas Jio offers the same for Rs 3178.

As of now, Vi is offering the most affordable annual plans in India when you consider the OTT bundles. However, Jio and Airtel have better OTT bundles at slightly higher prices.

Jio recently launched its JioTV Premium plan which includes OTT subscriptions to over 14 different services including Amazon Prime Video, SonyLIV, Zee5 etc. The annual version of that plan is priced at Rs 4498, and in terms of value for money, it beats every other operator in the country.

Airtel also has similar schemes with its Airtel Xstream Play subscription. Vi has tried to counter these all-in-one OTT plans with its Rs 202 plan that includes a subscription to 13 OTT services. However, this plan is priced higher as compared to the competition and the OTT options are not as lucrative as Jio.
