Amongst the four Vivo models we reported to be listed on TENAA, the Vivo V1818T has received the full rundown of its specs on the Chinese certification agency yesterday. The Vivo V1818T seems to be a variant of the Vivo V1818A judging from the similarity in the model numbers, hence it could have similar specs.

The Vivo V1818T comes with a 6.22-inch HD+ panel with a 720 x 1520p resolution. The processor inside is clocked at 1.95GHz capacity and is backed by 4GB of RAM while the Android version is listed as 8.1 Oreo. There’s 64GB of internal storage with room for MicroSD as well. In terms of design, it is already known that the handset has a gradient back with the sparkling Blue colour tone finish on the rear and a waterdrop notch at the front. It does not have a rear fingerprint reader.

Besides this development, the Vivo V1814T was found listed at China’s 3C portal along with a V1731CA. As you might already know, 3C listings do not reveal in the way of specs, so we have to wait for TENAA to put these devices on their own record which we’re expecting the coming days.

October 19, 2018 – New Vivo Phones V1818A, V1818T, And V1814T Listed on TENAA; Images Reveal Waterdrop Notch & Dual Rear Camera

Three new Vivo smartphones with model numbers Vivo V1818A, V1818T, and V1814T have just surfaced on China’s telecom authority widely known as TENAA. We reported the former two models (Vivo V1818A, V1818T) when they paid a visit to 3C in early October. The third one is still a complete mystery. For now, only the physical aspect of the above-mentioned models is revealed in the listing. However, most of the specifications are still under wraps but we expect the dust to clear out in a few days when TENAA publishes them as well.

Gathering info from the images, we can ascertain that these handsets are of the mid-range category as all of them do not feature a rear fingerprint reader. It could boast of an on-screen sensor but that is not confirmed. The sparkling gradient colour which we saw on the Vivo V11 Pro is also present here and there’s a dual camera at the back placed on the top left corner. The front of all the three devices has a water drop notch design. The V1814T comes in a pink shade and also possesses similar traits as the other two models.

These handsets have also passed 3C certification recently revealing support for 5V/2A charging that again hints that these are mid-range phones. Apart from these details, we’re simply left to our wits as to what these new Vivo devices are. However, given that TENAA has just listed their images, we expect further details to emerge on the portal soon.

Since there is no more information surrounding the specifications of these phones, we can only speculate as to where Vivo will place these devices in its confusing mid-range portfolio. One particular possibility is that these models might end up in the affordable Y-series of phones. That would also rule out the possibility of the on-screen fingerprint reader on them.

In related news, Vivo just recently announced its two Z series devices a few days back in the shape of the Vivo Z3 with a powerful Snapdragon 670/710 SoC depending upon the variant you choose. Both the handset variants are great value for money prospects for the Chinese market.
