Vivo is gearing up for the launch of its next V-series smartphone launch. The company might soon announce the V29 series in various markets. Vivo might launch at least three phones in the lineup. These include the V29e, V29 5G and V29 Pro. Vivo has not announced the launch date of its upcoming V-series smartphones. The premium V-series lineup is expected to arrive soon in India. While we wait for the official announcement, it looks like the launch is not far away as the Vivo V29 Pro has been spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).

The V29 Pro was recently spotted on a few certification websites as well in the past. Let’s take a look at the Vivo V29 Pro 5G specifications, features and other details known so far.

Vivo V29 Pro 5G: What We Know So Far

The Vivo V29 Pro will be a new premium smartphone launching soon in various markets. The device has been spotted on the BIS website. It has the model number V2251. The listing, unfortunately, does not confirm any specifications of the upcoming Vivo smartphone. However, it does indicate that the V29 Pro 5G will launch soon.

The phone’s SoC details had surfaced recently. The V29 Pro 5G was spotted on Geekbench with a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC. The SoC features a Mali-G610 GPU. It was paired with 12GB of RAM as well. The phone will run Android 13 out of the box. We can expect the V29 Pro 5G to feature Funtouch OS 13.1 on top of Android.

Also, the V29 Pro will sport a curved display and rear panel, according to one of the leaked teasers. A separate report revealed that the V29 Pro will feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display. For biometric authentication, the handset will feature an under-display fingerprint scanner and support for AI-based facial recognition. There will also be support for a 120Hz refresh rate.

On the back, the V29 Pro is likely to feature a triple-camera setup. The phone will reportedly feature a 64MP primary camera sensor. Details about the other two sensors are under wraps. For selfies, the V29 Pro 5G is likely to feature a 50MP front camera.

Under the hood, the phone might pack a 5000mAh battery. It is also said to offer 66W fast charging support out of the box. Vivo is yet to confirm the India launch date of V29 series. We will share more details as and when available.
