Vivo X100 Pro+ Specifications Surface Online: Here’s What We Know So Far

Vivo has launched the Vivo X100 (review) and Vivo X100 Pro (review) smartphones in India on January 4. The Chinese smartphone giant has also confirmed the upcoming Vivo X100 Pro+ smartphone launch in the first half of 2024. The smartphone launch was pushed to Q2 of 2024, according to leaks. Digital Chat Station, a known tipster, has now revealed the smartphone’s key specifications (via) in a new post on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo.

Vivo X100 Pro+ Specifications Known So Far

Digital Chat Station reveals that Vivo X100 Pro+ will get a Samsung E7 AMOLED panel. The Chinese smartphone giant will likely ship the smartphone with curved edges and a centred punch hole cutout to house the selfie camera. The X100 Pro+ will also likely sport an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner similar to the Vivo X90 Pro+ smartphone.

A previous leak claimed that the upcoming X100 Pro+ will sport a 6.78-inch display with 2K resolution. The forthcoming smartphone will also likely feature support for LTPO technology. The LTPO panel will help the device intelligently switch refresh rates between 1-120Hz. The punch hole cutout will house the 32MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC will power the Vivo X100 Pro+ smartphone. In contrast, the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro smartphones are powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipsets. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset has one Cortex X4 core at 3.3GHz, three Cortex-A720 cores at 3.15GHz, two Cortex-A720 cores at 2.96GHz, two Cortex-A520 cores at 2.26GHz, and an Adreno 750 GPU.

The chipset will pair with up to 24GB of LPDRR5T RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The smartphone will run on Origin OS 4 based on Android 14 out of the box. The leaked renders of the device confirmed that Vivo will equip the device with a circular camera island. Digital Chat Station reveals the device will sport a 50MP Sony LYT 900 (an improved version of Sony IMX 989) primary sensor with OIS.

The sensor will be paired with a secondary 50MP Sony IMX 598 ultrawide lens and a 50MP Sony IMX 758 telephoto lens. The tipster also confirms that the upcoming smartphone will feature a 200MP periscope telephoto lens. The periscope sensor will debut with 4.7x optical zoom, which offers a resolution similar to a 10MP periscope lens.

The upcoming Vivo smartphone will also sport 200x digital zoom, similar to other Android flagship smartphones. The forthcoming device will be backed by a 5400mAh battery with 100W wired charging support and 50W wireless charging tech.

The Chinese smartphone giant is expected to debut many other products, including Vivo Pad 3 and Vivo X100S series smartphones alongside the upcoming X100 Pro+ smartphone.
