Vivo X100 Pro+ Telephoto Camera Details Leaked Ahead of Launch

After introducing the Vivo X100 and the X100 Pro smartphones last month, Vivo is now prepping to add another handset to its X100 series dubbed as the Vivo X100 Pro+. While the launch date of the X100 Pro+ isn’t known as of now, rumours suggest that the device could be unveiled by Vivo in the first half of 2024. The specifications as well as the schematics of the upcoming X100 Pro+ had surfaced back in October. The leak revealed that the device will feature a 6.78-inch OLED display, a 50MP quad-camera setup, and a 5,400mAh battery. Now, the camera details of the X100 Pro+ are leaked courtesy of popular leakster Digital Chat Station.

Vivo X100 Pro+ Will Feature 200MP Periscope Telephoto Camera

The information shared by Digital Chat Station on Weibo reveals that the Vivo X100 Pro+ will feature a 200MP periscope telephoto camera which will have a 4.3x optical zoom. The tipster also discloses that the 4.3x optical zoom offers a resolution equivalent to a 10MP periscope lens, and it stretches to 10x optical zoom. Jointly, it supports 200x digital zoom. The 200MP telephoto periscope sensor is rumoured to be accompanied by a 50MP primary camera (Sony IMX989 sensor), a 50MP ultra-wide lens (Sony IMX598 sensor), and a 50MP portrait lens (Sony IMX758 sensor).

The previous leak suggests that the device will feature a 6.78-inch OLED display which could have a 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the device is expected to feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. The chipset could be paired with LPDDR5T RAM and UFS 4.0 onboard storage.

As far as the rest of the key features go, the device is expected to pack a 5,400mAh battery which could support 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. On the software side of things, the smartphone will run Android 14 out of the box with OriginOS 4.0 skin on top. At present the company has not dislcosed the launch date of the device. The past rumours indicate that the handset could go official in China in the first quarter of 2024. The device when launches in China should compete with the likes of the OPPO Find X7 series and the Xiaomi 14 Ultra, which also are yet to be announced.
