Vivo Y27 5G: Specifications Revealed So Far

The Vivo Y27 5G will likely be a new mid-range 5G smartphone launching soon in China. The device has been spotted on the Geekbench website. The listing spotted by IT Home reveals that the Y27 5G has the model number V2248. According to the benchmark website, the Y27 5G draws power from a MediaTek SoC K6833v1_64_k419.

The SoC has a peak clock speed of 2.2GHz for its two primary cores, whereas the six secondary cores are clocked at 2.0GHz. Based on the leaked details, it looks like the Y27 5G will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, which is a fairly old and entry-level 5G processor. The chipset might be featured in the Y27 5G as the Dimensity 6020 SoC following MediaTek’s recent rebranding.

The SoC features a Mali-G57 GPU. It is paired with 8GB of RAM. We can expect Vivo to launch the phone with 128GB of storage at least. It would not be a surprise if the company also launches a 6GB RAM variant of the phone with 128GB of storage.

The Y27 5G scored 660 and 1839 points in Geekbench 6’s single-core and multi-core tests. It was also spotted running Android 13 out of the box, which is expected from any phone launching in 2023. We can expect the phone to launch in China with Origin OS 3 on top of Android. If the phone launches globally, it is likely to feature Funtouch OS 13 on top of Android.

A recent NCC listing revealed that the Y27 5G will likely pack a 5000mAh battery. It will also offer 44W fast charging support out of the box. The phone will sport a flat frame design. It will sport two large circular cutouts resting on a rectangular camera module for the dual-camera setup. While the screen size is unknown, the phone is tipped to feature a Full HD+ resolution display with a pixel density of 440 PPI. It will sport a waterdrop notch at the top for the front camera. Lastly, the Y27 5G will feature a USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack, speaker grill and primary microphone at the bottom edge.
