Vivo is preparing to introduce a new Y-series smartphone – the Vivo Y38 5G. In a new development, folks at 91mobiles have spotted the Vivo Y38 on the NCC (National Communications Commission) and IMDA (Infocomm Media Development Authority) certification websites. The upcoming Y-series smartphone earlier appeared on Bluetooth SIG and CQC certifications. Take a look at the details.

Vivo Y38 5G Battery and Charging Details Revealed

The Vivo Y38 5G has the model number V2343, as revealed through Bluetooth SIG certification and even IMDA and NCC listings. The smartphone will feature a dual-camera setup housed inside a circular camera module.

The IMDA listing reveals the phone will have a flat-edge design. It will offer a centred punch hole notch display, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C charging port.

The NCC listing suggests the Vivo Y38 will have a 6,000mAh battery and 44W fast charging support. As per the listing, the model numbers of the battery and chargers are BA45 and V4440L0A0-US, respectively.

Vivo Y38 5G IMDA Listing

The Vivo Y38 5G is said to launch in two configurations – 8GB RAM+128GB and 8GB+256GB. The handset is expected to pack a microSD card slot. It will feature support for 5G (n1, n3, n7, n8, n28, n38, n41 and n78 band) and NFC connectivity as per NCC listing.

The Vivo Y38 5G was earlier spotted on the Geekbench benchmark database. As per the listing, the handset will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset coupled with an Adreno 613 GPU. It will feature 8GB of RAM and run Android 14.

Vivo hasn’t revealed any details about the upcoming Vivo Y38 5G yet. However, we can expect the handset to debut in the coming weeks as it has acquired several certifications. So, stay tuned.
