Vivo has launched a couple of new Y-series smartphone – the Vivo Y78 (t1) 5G and the Vivo Y78m (t1) 5G in its domestic market. The Vivo V78 (t1) and Vivo Y78m (t1) arrive as successors of the Vivo Y78 and the Vivo Y78m which were unveiled a few months ago in China.

The Vivo Y78 (t1) and Vivo Y78m (t1) are more affordable compared to the Y78 and the Y78m and as a result, the t1 versions feature inferior hardware. The Vivo Y78 (t1) and Vivo Y78m (t1) are powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6020 processor. The Dimensity 6020 is similar to the Dimensity 700 and is an entry-level processor under the Dimensity lineup from MediaTek.

The Vivo Y78 (t1) and Vivo Y78m (t1) offer 60Hz LCD display with Full HD+ resolution and 1500: 1 contrast ratio. These handsets also sport 50MP rear camera and an 8MP selfie camera. For security purposes, the latest Y-series smartphones from Vivo rely on side-mounted fingerprint scanner. These come equipped with 5000mAh battery and support 44W charging over Type-C port.

The Vivo Y78 (t1) and Vivo Y78m (t1) are available for purchase in China. There is no word on the global availability of these handsets yet.
