Vodafone Idea, popularly known as Vi, has increased the prices of its 4G plans in India. The telecom operator has increased the tariff by 20-25 percent to “help address financial stress faced by the industry.” Only the prepaid plans have received a hike in India. The base plan, which was priced previously at Rs 79, will now cost Rs 99 and will remain valid for 28 days. Vi has hiked the price of its 4G prepaid plans in India a day after its rival telco Airtel announced a similar hike in India. While the new price of Airtel 4G prepaid plans will be applicable from November 26, Vi’s revised plans will go live a day early. Vi (Vodafone Idea) 4G prepaid recharge plan new price

Following Bharti Airtel, Vodafone-Idea (Vi) too has increased the price of its 4G prepaid plans in India, which will go live from November 25, 2021. The company has increased the price of each of its plans by up to 25 percent. “The new plans will start the process of ARPU improvement and help address financial stress faced by the industry,” Vi said in its release.

Following the revision, the base plan will cost Rs 99, as opposed to Rs 79. The plan will offer 28 days of validity along with talktime worth Rs 99, 200MB 4G data, and 1p/ sec voice tariff.

The unlimited voice bundle plans will start at Rs 179, which is Rs 30 more than the previous pricing. Under this plan, users get unlimited calling, 300 SMS per day, and 2GB of data.

The existing Rs 219 plan, which is also valid for 28 days, will now cost Rs 269. It offers 100 SMS/day along with 1GB of 4G data per day and unlimited calling. The Rs 299 Vi 4G prepaid plan will cost Rs 359 from November 25. It will offer 2GB of 4G data per day, 100 SMS/day and unlimited calling.

Those who want a 56-day plan will need to do a recharge of Rs 479 at least. Under this plan, users get 1.5GB of 4G data per day along with 100 SMS and unlimited calling. The Rs 599 plan, which is valid for 84 days, will cost Rs 719 from November 25. It offers 4G data of 1.5GB/day, 100 SMS/ day and unlimited calling.
