Can Haier’s New AI Washing Machine at ₹59,990 Live Up to Its Smart Claims

Haier has officially launched its new 12kg F9 Front Load Washing Machine in India, priced at ₹59,990. This model is being positioned as India’s only front-loader with a full-color AI touchscreen panel and promises a hassle-free “one-touch” washing experience. With AI-based load sensing, real-time fabric detection, and adaptive wash cycles, the F9 is designed to combine premium design with deep automation.

We’ve reviewed Haier washers in the past, including the Haier 10.5kg Washer Dryer, and found the performance to be quite pleasant in terms of noise control, fabric care, and smart UI design. The new F9 series appears to build on those strengths with a larger drum, higher RPM, and more responsive automation. A detailed hands-on review of the F9 is already underway, and our final verdict will follow soon.

That said, the 12kg front-load space is becoming increasingly competitive. Both Samsung and LG already have strong offerings in this category, and here’s how the Haier F9 stacks up.

The most immediate difference lies in the user interface. Haier is the only one to offer a color AI touch panel on its machine. Samsung’s Bespoke AI range, including the model we recently reviewed, sticks to a minimalist LED panel while LG’s AI Direct Drive model relies on a digital dial and display combination. In terms of convenience and touchscreen responsiveness, Haier takes the lead.

Haier vs the other AI powered washing machines

Drum size is another differentiator. Haier’s 525mm pillow drum is the largest in the segment (as per the company). The larger drun size helps with better fabric movement and deeper water penetration, especially for bulky items. Samsung doesn’t explicitly mention drum diameter but focuses more on its EcoBubble and Hygiene Steam features. LG, meanwhile, brings its TurboWash and Steam+ technologies to the table, which may be more beneficial for delicate loads or allergen removal. The drum size is not explicitly mentioned in the specs for LG as well.

All three models offer a 1400 RPM spin speed, but Haier claims to have better noise control and vibration management with its AI-powered dynamic balancing system. Samsung utilizes VRT Plus for this purpose, while LG relies on its Direct Drive technology paired with Smart Diagnosis. While each brand is confident in its approach, our past reviews found Haier’s motors to be among the quietest in real-world use.

On warranties, Haier and Samsung both offer 20 years on the motor. However, Samsung’s product warranty is only 2 years compared to Haier’s more generous 5 years of comprehensive coverage. LG’s motor warranty is capped at 10 years and product warranty at 2 years, which is slightly more conservative for a machine in this segment.

Pricing for Haier’s F9

Pricing is where the story gets nuanced. Haier’s F9, as per the press release shared by the company, will be available for ₹59,990. Samsung, on the other hand, offers a broader Bespoke AI range with a 12kg capacity, starting at ₹43,990 for base variants and reaching up to ₹56,000 for the model we reviewed. In terms of features, too, it is the one priced at ₹56,000 that comes closest to the recent offering by Haier. LG’s 12kg AI DD model has an MRP of ₹66,000 but is currently retailing at ₹51,990 on its official website, making it the most aggressively discounted among the three.

From a features-to-price perspective, Haier’s strength lies in the balance of UI innovation, drum size, and warranty support. Samsung has the widest portfolio and a strong app ecosystem, which benefits users with other SmartThings-compatible appliances. LG appeals to those who value deep-clean technologies like Steam+ and motion-sensing wash.

So the crux of the matter is that Haier may not offer the lowest sticker price or the broadest app platform, but it claims to have a bold UI leap, serious wash performance, and solid warranties in a single, locally made package. We’ll be testing these claims in our full review soon, so stay tuned with MySmartPrice for the same.
